The Changing Lives Initiative is a significant new partnership operating across both parts of Ireland and Western Scotland, which has received funding until May 2020 through the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme (with matching funding from the Northern Ireland Executive and Irish government).
The initiative proposes to tackle the challenges associated with children aged 3-7 years who are at risk of an ADHD diagnosis, by raising awareness and providing behavioural training and support to parents and professionals. Changing Lives is being delivered across Colin/West Belfast, County Louth, and the Argyll & Bute region of Scotland. Partners in the initiative are Archways (lead partner), Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Louth Leader Partnership, and NHS Highland.
Colin Neighbourhood Partnership now wishes to recruit the following post on a temporary 12-month basis:
Job title: Local Coordinator (Changing Lives Initiative)
Hours: Full time
Duration: 12-month temporary contract
Location: Colin, Belfast
The Local Coordinator will have day to day responsibility for delivery of the Changing Lives Initiative in Colin/West Belfast, as part of Colin Neighbourhood Partnership’s wider Early Intervention programme, and will be directly managed by the Colin Early Intervention Manager.
Coordinating closely with other partners in the South of Ireland and Western Scotland and with the Changing Lives project manager (based in Dundalk) will also be essential. The Local Coordinator in Colin will manage a small project team, build relationships with a wide range of agencies, and coordinate and help to deliver information workshops and training to parents, education and health professionals. Previous delivery experience of the Incredible Years programme and knowledge of ADHD will be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given as required.
