Neuroscience shows the importance of attachment and infant brain development for long-term health and wellbeing. This one day course will equip you to explain bonding and brain development to parents one-to-one in a simple but memorable ways, using the unique GroBrain range of visual tools.


Who is the training for?

Midwives, health visitors, children’s centre staff, family support workers and those working with parents in the Early Years.


Training course outcomes

By the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • Explain the three parts of the brain and their functions
  • Explain how parents ‘wire up’ their baby’s brain
  • Explain how the stress response is set in the early years
  • Analyse different attachment types across the age span
  • Describe and model how to attune to babies’ needs and wants
