Colin Neighbourhood Partnership's annual community festival is back again this August! There is something for all the family. Events include:

Wednesday 1st August - Historical Trip to Dublin.
Meet at Dairy Farm Centre at 9:00am, returning for 7:00pm.
Intergenerational tour of the centenary sites of Dublin including Glasnevin cemetery, the GPO and Dublin Castle. Tour will be led by a professional historian. Open to all ages. £3 per person, includes transport. Booking required, book HERE.

 

Thursday 2nd August – Bake & BBQ Masterclass.
10:30am – 12:30pm OR 2:30pm – 4:30pm, Colin Allotments Healthy Living Centre, 30 Colin Glen Road, Belfast.
Learn how to make a deliciously healthy BBQ feast in this fun cookery class delivered by a professional chef. Learn how to cook BBQ rub ribs, Provençal chicken, and grilled vegetables. Also features a bread making demo. All ingredients provided. 2 workshops available: 10:30am & 2:30pm. £3 per adult (over 16s).

Bake and BBQ Masterclass

Friday 3rd August - Family Camping & Crafts Night
7:00pm Friday – 11:00am Saturday, Colin Glen Allotment site, 30 Colin Glen Road, Belfast
Join us for an overnight family camp-out in the beautiful surroundings of the Colin Allotments. Learn the art of bushcraft survival skills, hear about the history of the surrounding hills and woodlands, gather around the campfire for storytelling, take part in stargazing, make your own pizza and bake in a cob oven.

Sunday 5th August - Sally Gardens Féile Soccer Tournament.
10:00am – 3:00pm, Sally Gardens Community Centre, Poleglass.
Sally Gardens will be hosting teams from around Belfast for a fantastic day of sport. If your team is interested in participating contact Martin on 028 9062 7250.

 

Monday 6th August - Seniors Seaside Daytrip
Bus departs Dairy Farm Shopping Centre 11:00am, returns 6:00pm.
Trip to the Antrim coast for older people.
£3 per person, includes transport.

Tuesday 7th August – Local Food and Craft Market, 11am - 3:00pm
Colin Allotments, 30 Colin Glen Road, Belfast. (Opposite Colin Glen Fuels)

Tuesday 7th August -  Men’s Health Fair
4:30pm – 7:30pm, Cloona House, 31 Colin Road, Poleglass.
Free 20 minute health checks and complementary therapies especially for men. Find out your cholesterol and glucose levels, blood pressure and pulse rate, and body composition analysis. In association with Action Cancer. Health check appointments are suitable for those aged 16 and over.

Bus departs Dairy Farm Shopping Centre at 10:00am, returns for 5:00pm.

Join us on a family trip to Slieve Gullion Forest Park in Armagh. Visit the Giant’s Lair, a must-see magical living storybook. Take the kids on a journey of magic and imagination featuring dragons, giants, witches and fairies!
Transport provided, £5 per family (2 adults, 2 kids). Please bring a packed lunch.

Thursday 9th August - Colin Carnival Parade and Family Fun Day, 12.45pm – 4:00pm.
Enjoy a great family day out at Colin’s colourful Carnival Parade and Family Fun Day!  The Parade will leave St Luke’s Church in Twinbrook at 12.45pm and make its way up the Stewartstown Road to Laurel Glen Shops (beside the Dairy Farm Centre).  Here there will be fun and games, Colin’s Got Talent competition, live music, carnival rides, face painters, and much more!

Colin Glen Forest Park, 12 noon – 2:30pm
